Universities with Govt approval starts recruitment process: Minister
PESHAWAR (APP): A meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Provincial Minister for Higher Education, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Meena Afridi, to deliberate on matters related to recruitment permission notifications for employees in various universities of the province.
Vice Chancellors and relevant officials from Gomal University, Malakand University, Kohat University, along with other universities, participated in the meeting.
Detailed discussions were held regarding the issues faced by some universities in the recruitment process due to matters related to permission notifications.
Provincial Minister for Higher Education, Meena Khan Afridi, issued clear instructions, adding that universities which have formal permission from the Higher Education Department and the Finance Department for employee recruitment should complete the recruitment process without delay so that academic and administrative activities are not affected.
He further directed that universities which have not yet obtained permission from the Higher Education Department and the Finance Department should immediately complete the process of acquiring the necessary approvals from the relevant departments.
The Minister clarified that the purpose of permission notifications is not to impose unnecessary restrictions on universities, but rather to provide them with better guidance in administrative and financial matters.
Meena Khan Afridi expressed his commitment that wherever universities require guidance and assistance, the government will provide them with all possible support.
Empowering the province’s universities administratively, financially, and academically is the government’s mission, so that the quality of higher education can be improved and institutions can effectively perform their duties with autonomy.
The Minister reaffirmed that the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will continue to work together with all stakeholders to resolve the issues of provincial universities and strengthen them as robust institutions.
