SSP Sonia Shamroz Khan receives International Award for her impactful policing
PESHAWAR (APP): Sonia Shamroz Khan, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) and District Police Officer (DPO) in Battagram, and ex DPO Chitral Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has received international recognition for her efforts to combat violence against women.
The International Association of Women Police (IAWP) honored her with the “Officer of the Year Award” in Auckland, New Zealand, according to a statement here.
This prestigious award is presented to a female police officer who demonstrates exemplary conduct and achievements across multiple policing areas, making a significant impact on her agency and responsibilities.
Khan’s dedication to addressing gender-based violence and her career accomplishments have earned her this global accolade.
