PESHAWAR: Secretary Local Government and Rural Development Syed Zaheer-ul-Islam Shah took stern action and asked for a report on the condition of slaughterhouses. He insisted on TMAs to ensure supply of clean and quality meat to the people. He said that all resources should be utilized during the provision of facilities to the people, no negligence would be tolerated in this regard and indiscriminate steps would be taken to establish writ of the government. He asked the concerned staff to prepared a plan of one window action to moniter the plaza of the town. The newly appointed LG Secretary was getting a detailed briefing on various issues.
During the meeting, Secretary Local Government and Rural Development Syed Zaheer-ul-Islam Shah said that the department is providing various services to the people including sanitation, clean drinking water, clean recreation opportunities in parks, every effort will be made to improve these .If the condition of the slaughterhouses is not good then the supply of clean and quality meat is not possible as per the principles of hygiene. The condition of the boxes was called for a detailed report of the one-window operation counters set up on need basis.
Secretary Local Government Syed Zaheer-ul-Islam directed the TMAs across the province to compile a record of plazas in their area which have violated the map and which are using the plaza parking area for commercial activities to prepare action against such elements.
