Rich tributes paid to KP police on Martyres Day
PESHAWAR (APP): The Police Martyres Day was observed in all districts of Khyber Pakthunkhwa where rich tributes were paid to all martyred policemen.
In this connections, functions were held in all police lines of 37 districts where sacrfices of police officers and jawans highlighted.
In Peshawar, a function was held at Malik Saad Shaheed police line where police officers and jawans besides their families attended.
Deputy Commissioner Nowshera Irfanullah Mehsud laid floral wreath on the Martyrs monument at police line and offered Fateha. DPO Alamzeb Khan was present.
Chitral police were paid glowing tribute at a ceremony held on Sunday in connection with the Police Martyrs Day.
Every year, August 4th is observed as ‘Police Martyrs Day’ to pay tributes to the martyrs and assured their families that the blood of their loved ones will not go in vain.
In Lower Chitral, an impressive ceremony was held at the Govt College of Management Sciences which was chaired by Commandant Chitral Scouts Bilal Javed. Deputy Commissioner Mohsin Hayat and District Police Officer Iftikhar Shah along with family members of the martyrs were present.
Speakers said the sacrifice of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police in war on terror was unprecedented.
A large number of police officers and jawans laid down their lives while fighting the scourge of terrorism in the province.
