REFRESHER COURE FOR UNIVERSITY TEACHERS UNDER NAHE-HEC HELD IN CHITRAL
CHITRAL: In the concluding session of month-long refresher course for university teachers, the academic experts overemphasized on keeping pace with the changing modes of pedagogy in the contemporary world overshadowed by technology and artificial intelligence.
Held under the aegis of National Academy of Higher Education- Higher Education Commission (NAHE-HEC) for the teaching faculty of University of Chitral, the training session consisted of nine different modules pertaining to different disciplines being taught there.


The resource person of the session and vice-chancellor of Kohat University of Science and Technology Prof Dr. Nasir Ud Din presented the outlook of the training modules which had been designed so as to keep the participants abreast of the newly emerging dimensions of teaching.

He lauded the participants for evincing keen interest in the session and said that he felt satisfied that their conceptual understanding about all the modules was clear very much which will ultimately benefit the students in the class rooms facing them.
The chief guest of the session and director of Professional Development Centre of Aga Khan University based in Chitral, Dr. Riaz Hussain said that continuous learning of professional education was indispensable as the ever changing set the things changing with each moment of time.

He asked the participants to wholly and solely each and every part of lesson to their respective class rooms they learnt during the training session.
The focal person and provost of the university, Prof Dr. Taj Ud Din Sharar expressed his gratitude to HEC for arranging the vital training session which was highly in demand because it was first of nature for the faculty of the varsity after its inception in 2011.

He expressed the hope that the chain of training sessions for faculty members will go with greater frequency and precision.
The participants offering their reflections over the modules of the training included Masood Anwar (computer science), Rizwana Bilqis (botany), Zia Ur Rehman (management sciences), Zahoor Ul Haq Danish (English) and Basharat Hussain (political science).
They said that the session was oriented towards technology integration with special emphasis on use of artificial intelligence in teaching and imparted them ultra-modern assessment techniques and academic progress.
They vowed to take go to their class rooms with a renewed and modernized knowledge of pedagogy and will be able to transmit the knowledge to their pupils with more success and zeal than ever before.
Certificates of participation were distributed among the participants on the end of the session.
