    King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center Concludes Winter Relief Distribution in KP including Chitral and Baluchistan Province

    Islamabad: In response to the pressing needs of communities affected by the floods caused by unprecedented monsoon rains, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has undertaken a vital initiative to provide winter relief to individuals in the coldest regions of Pakistan who have been adversely impacted.

    KSrelief has significantly intensified its relief efforts in Pakistan, 19000 winter relief packages has been distributed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Baluchistan in collaboration with NDMA, PDMAs , RR&SD, UN agencies. The objective is to alleviate the suffering of those affected by the floods and extend assistance to deserving individuals in dire need.

    11,000 winter relief package were distributed across five districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Upper Chitral, Lower Chitral, Upper Dir, Upper Swat, and Upper Kohistan). Additionally, 8,000 relief packages were distributed in four districts of Balochistan, namely Kalat, Sohrab, Killa Saifullah, and Ziarat. These packages include 2 Polyester quilts and a kit of warm shawls for both men and women, as well as warm clothing for children and adults.

    The distribution process was carried out with utmost transparency, in collaboration with provincial governments and Hayat Foundation as implementing partner, ensuring that the assistance reached those who needed it most. Overall, the winter relief packages provided by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center benefited more than 133,000 individuals in the provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Baluchistan.
