Khalid Pervez condemned Molana Chitrali allegations against MNA

    By Zahiruddin

CHITRAL:  Member of zilla council from Drosh, Shahzada Khalid Parvaiz has asked the JI leader and former MNA Mulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali to tender unconditional apology for his baseless allegation of embezzlement in development funds leveled against the incumbent MNA from Chitral Shahzada Iftikharuddin which published in a section of press the other days.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, he vehemently negated the allegation against his brother and said that each and every penny of the development fund placed in his discretion were judiciously spend based on the need across the constituency and the allocations were made to the villagers irrespective of their political affiliations.

He said that in the absence of a significant amount of funds for rural development on small and micro level by the provincial government during the past four years, the people experienced tremendous hardships to fulfill their needs and sensing this urgency, the MNA approached the federal government and got allocated funds.

Mr. Parvaiz said that development works were carried out through Pak PWD by the MNA Shahzada iftikhar and the contract was given on open and transparent competition  while the projects were identified by the villagers on need basis.

He  said that the funds were not doled out among the supporters of the lawmaker as alleged by Maulana Chitrali who has been nominated for the constituency by the Jamaat-e-Ilsami right now and the development works in large number has baffled him (Maulana Chitrali) beyond measure forcing him to resort to such tactics of low nature.

He claimed that the incumbent MNA has carried out development projects in Chitral in unprecedented scale which included that of Lowari tunnel project, Golen Gol Hydro power project, a network of federal funded road projects across the district and now he has managed funds for rural development on small scale.

Mr. Parvaiz said that if the JI leader did not tender unconditional apology or provide irrefutable evidence of corruption in the funds , then he will have to face a damage suit of Rs. 560 million in Peshawar High Court as the allegations have hurt the feelings of the people benefited of the projects.
