CHITRAL: According to a press release issued by the PRO of the University of Chitral, the Higher Education Commission has recognized the University’s biannual research journal titled as “Journal of Religious Studies” in “Y Category” soon after the journal fulfils the requirements for HEC recognition in the said category. The press release reads that to facilitate the researchers the University of Chitral has started nine journals in various disciplines, which are being published in the platform of OJS in online as well as printed forms. Currently the University of Journal of Religious Studies has been recognized by the HEC, whereas, the formalities for the recognition of the rest are in process.
The press release reads that till now five editions of the University of Chitral Journal of Religious Studies have been published which contain latest research of the national and international researchers. This journal is available in printed form as well as online and CD ROM versions with three ISSN numbers and DOI facility and it has been indexed by eleven leading indexing agencies of the world. The journal can be accessed through its website www.jrs.uoch.edu.pk/ from anywhere. Publishing of quality research journals will be a milestone in promotion of research culture in a far-flung area like Chitral, the press release maintains.
