KURAGH: Global Hand Washing Day 2019 with the theme of ‘Clean Hands for All’ was held at AKHSS Kuragh on October 15, 2019. It is an international observance to bring awareness regarding washing hands using soap as an easy, effective and affordable way to prevent diseases thus saving lives.A grand assembly was organized by the students to create awareness that how washing hands in a proper way would help to prevent microbial diseases ensuring healthy life among individuals especially among young generations. Students from other schools like Government High School Charun, Government Girls Middle School Charun and Islamia Model School Bombagh along with the faculty members and head teachers were also present in the programme.
The program started with the recitation of the Holy verses of Quran followed by national anthem. National song was one of the items of the program which the audience enjoyed very much. A short but comprehensive presentation on Global Hand Washing Day was presented by the members of Mathematical Society Julia Sameen and Mubashira Zahid. In their presentation, they not only shared the importance of hand washing but also shared the result of the survey conducted inside school that how frequently students wash their hands. Students of grade 12 demonstrated seven steps of washing hands to the audience. The audience were also requested to follow the hand washing steps which were being demonstrated.
Speaking on that occasion, Ms. Sultana Burhanuddin, Sr. Principal AKHSS Kuragh, thanked the participants and said that the purpose behind organizing this event is to create awareness among young generations regarding healthy habits like washing hands as it has a countless impact on our health. She urged the students to develop healthy habits from the very young age to stay healthy by doing small act like washing hands frequently in an appropriate way.
