Former diplomat Muhammad Aslam Khan laid to rest in Chitral
CHITRAL: The former diplomat from Upper Chitral was laid to rest here on Monday in his ancestral village of Shogram who had passed away in a hospital in Kuwait where he was residing after retirement.
Muhammad Aslam Khan had discharged the duty of ambassador in several countries including Kuwait from where he was superannuated nine years ago while he had also been posted as first secretary to the embassy in United States of America in late 1990s.
He was one of the top ten successful candidates in the competitive examination in 1982 to join the Foreign Service of Pakistan and was the first person from upper Chitral who has joined this occupational service.
He has left behind two daughters and a widow to mourn his death.
