Firing Practice for Chitral Police personnel held

CHITRAL: Firing practice on extensive scale has been kicked off for the officers and jawans of police including the lady personnel in Lower Chitral here on Tuesday to remain continued for many days to come.
Talking to the local media in the firing range of police, the district police officer Iftikhar Shah said that the aim of the practice was to equip the officers and personnel of the force to use the weapons of various capacities efficiently.

He said that the armaments of police force have been modernized in the recent years to combat terrorism apart from striking the desperados and the anti-social elements jeopardizing the peaceful atmosphere of the area.
He said that to avert any untoward incident, the proper training of the personnel was unavoidable in the context of existing situation and keeping in view this need extensive practice has been put in place periodically.
Mr. Shah lauded the achievements and talents of Chitral Police who were ideal shooters by birth and by a little effort their capability can be enhanced to a higher degree.
He announced prizes and commendation certificates exhibiting their talents in the practice and said that the highly qualified instructors had been deputed to impart technical help to the participants.
