    Deputy Commissioner Upper Chitral hold a khuli kucheri in Mastuj

    CHITRAL:  In the khuli kutchery held here on Saturday, the deputy commissioner of Upper Chitral, Shah Saud held in Mastuj Khas town, assured the people that the issues of the historical village council will be vigorously taken up with the relevant authorities and all the complaints raised by them were genuine in nature.

    The villagers present on the occasion, heaped the complaints about C&W department for negligence due to which the Booni-Mastuj segment of Shandur road is in dilapidated condition which has been further deteriorated due to the digging for laying internet cables by the PTCL.

    They said that the hospital is without doctors and  other facilities due to which they have to go to Booni and Chitral for treatment and poor state of affairs is despite the fact that it was outsourced to Aga Khan Health Service ten years ago.

    They also demanded posting of doctors in the local rural health centre, strengthening it with facilities of diagnostic facilities and ambulance as presently they needed to travel to Chitral.

    They also complained about the failure of water supply schemes of public health engineering department and the frequent load shedding of electricity in the area despite the availability of excess amount of electricity.

    The DC Chitral asked the district heads of offices of education, health, communication and works, irrigation, food and public heath engineering to give priority to the solution of the issues confronted by the people and warned that as no laxity will be overlooked on the part of any government department.
