CHITRAL; The launching ceremony of the first ever book on Khowar ( Chitrali language) music written by Shahzada Tanvirul Mulk was held here on Sunday.
The speakers hailed the book as a treasure of authentic and well found information on local music, folk songs, poets and the singers.
They said that Khowar music is drifting fast towards deceleration and to check the negative process, it was imperative to preserve it in black and white and electronic means.
They said that the book carried data and facts which will prove as first-hand reference for a researcher in future.
The book circumscribed the history of music of the past 250 years.
The speakers included Shahzada Faham Aziz, Khan Mir, Saleh Nizam, Gul Murad Hasrat, Dr. Inayatullah Faizi, Aftab Alam and others.

Eidul Hussain elected as president ANP Chitral

CHITRAL: Al- Haj Eidul Hussain was elected as president of district chapter of ANP Chitral in an election held here on Sunday.
The other office bearers included vice president Abdul Ahad, general secretary Dr Sardar Ahmad and treasurer Yastoorul Haq.
The elections were conducted and supervised by provincial vice-president Irum Fatima and provincial joint secretary Khadija Bibi.
Speaking on the occasion, Irum Fatima asked the party workers to start full-blown preparations for the upcoming local bodies polls and exploit the failures of the ruling party which has badly failed to deliver.
She said that the people from Chitral to Karachi have been badly disappointed by the unsatisfactory performance of PTI government which has unleashed the spate of poverty by raising the prices of the petroleum products, gas and electricity.
