    Chief Minister visit Mansehra-performed ground breaking of multiple development projects

    PESHWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan on Saturday paid a day long visit to District Mansehra where he performed the ground breaking of multiple development projects and addressed a public gathering at Baffa. He laid the foundation stone of 20 km long Mandi Mali Road and 12 km Nawazabad-Mandi Road, these projects would be completed at a cost of Rs. 1.24 Billion and Rs. 762 Million respectively. The chief minister also laid the foundation stone of 26 km Siran Right Bank Canal project which would be completed at Rs. 2.8 billion. Mahmood Khan performed the ground breaking of a playground in Baffa which would be completed at a total cost of Rs. 700 Million. Moreover, the chief minister laid the foundation stone of 9 km Kotli Payeen to Chattar Plain Road and rehabilitation of 17 km Mansehra to Uttar Sheesha Road. These projects would be completed at a total cost of Rs. 150 Million and Rs. 207 Million respectively.

    Addressing a public gathering at Baffa, the chief minister announced establishment of a medical college and sports stadium in Mansehra. He also announced the construction of a teaching hospital for Hazara region under public private partnership and to give status of sub division to Baffa. The chief minister said that development projects worth Rs. 42 Billion were underway in Mansehra District which on completion would bring a positive change in the lives of local people. He further said that practical work on Mansehra Grater Water Supply Scheme would be launched within three months adding that the matter for establishment of Siran Development Authority would be deliberated.

    He added that substantial progress would be made on new Balakot City project within next five months. Moreover, the chief minister stated that in next two years record development projects would be initiated in Mansehra so as to develop it. Mahmood Khan said that, in the past, only two political parties looted public money ruthlessly and now they have created hue and cry over inflation. He added that in the past one km of motorways was constructed at Rs. 370 Million but now it was being constructed Rs. 170 Million. The chief minister stated that the provincial government was fully aware of difficulties caused by recent wave of inflation for poor people adding that concrete steps were being taken to control inflation and provide maximum relief to general public.

    The chief minister added that the provincial government was providing relief to public through Sehat Card Plus, Kissan Card and other initiatives. The incumbent government was also working on Education Card and Food Card Schemes so as to provide financial assistance to students and other people from vulnerable segments of society. Mahmood Khan said that the provincial government was taking result oriented steps under a well devised strategy to promote industries, agriculture and other sectors which have direct impact on public lives.

    The provincial government had approved first ever food security policy in order to make the province self-sufficient in agriculture. In the history of province, first ever trillion plus budget was unveiled which contain huge chunk of development projects. He added that in the upcoming budget exemplary relief would be given to general public and if needed development funds would also be utilized for the purpose. Federal Ministers Murad Saeed, Azam Swati, Umar Ayub also addressed the public gathering. MNA Saleh Muhammad Khan and Special Assistant to CM Syed Ahmad Hussain Shah were also present.
