    Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa surrendered 90.6021 million in the provincial kitty

    PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman has surrendered and deposited an amount of 9,6021,222 fund (90.6021 million) in the provincial kitty which were available at his disposal for utilization in erstwhile FATA.
    The over 90 million’s funds accumulated in the Governor’s designated NDMs account during the three Fiscal Years that is 2019-20, 2020-21 and 2021-22 as the government released Rs 44,808,000 in F/Y 2019-20 out of which 20,600,000 were spent as per policy and 10 million was surrendered /deposited in the government treasury in 2020. Similarly for the financial years 2020-21 and 2021-22 respectively 44,808,000 funds were transferred in the NDMs’ account each year and nothing was spent out of it.
    It is pertinent to mentioned here that Governor Shah Farman has surrendered the huge amounts with a view that after FATA merger tribal areas have become part of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and now it was domain of the provincial government to utilize these funds for the development and prosperity of tribal districts.
    The Governor Shah Farman in his views said that FATA merger has now been completed successfully and now it is responsibility of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government to use these funds under the designated head of NMDs for uplift of people.
    He assured to continue his imperative role in development of NDMs.
