    AKHS Booni celebrating global Ismaili Civic day

    UPPER CHITRAL:  The global Ismaili Muslim community are celebrating Ismaili CIVIC day on 26th September, 2021, which is a global program, launched last year, Ismaili CIVIC is a community initiative which demonstrates our long-standing commitment, improves the quality of life of all citizens, strengthens our deep-rooted ethic of volunteer service, and exemplifies Islam’s core values of peace, compassion, and care for the vulnerable.

    In this connection a program was held at Aga Khan High School (AKHS) Booni upper Chitral.

    On this day, the students managed the program having the theme ‘Expression for Nature’.

    Mr. Muhammad Ali Khan, Deputy Commissioner   upper Chitral was the chief guest on the occasion and in his speech, he highlighted environmental issues and citizen’s responsibilities to keep the environment clean.

    He also announced that the position holders of AKS Booni in AKU-EB examination 2021 will be given shields and a free flight in upcoming National Paragliding Competition. Mr. Imtiaz Alam, president Ismaili Council Upper Chitral, was the president of this program and in his speech, he reflects on objectives of Global Ismaili Civic Day. Environment related issues and solution was also the part of his spot light. Mr. Noor Muhammad, principal AKHS Booni formally welcomed the participants. The chief guest, president and other honourable guests of this program played their role in plantation of plants in school premises.

    Speech. drama, talk show and song having the theme of living in harmony with nature was the vital component of the program.

    Mr. Akbar Aziz, first position holder throughout KPK in AKU-EB examination 2021 and Mr. Faham Ali the little book writer of class 5th (Book on Environment) got their token of appreciation from Deputy Commissioner Upper Chiral.

    At last, different biodegradable bags prepared by students of AKHS Booni were distributed among the guests and teachers. The personality of deep experience and practical approach in   environmental factors, Mr Rehmat Ali, chairman CHEPS took the attention of participants by bringing them in domain of Nature loving and nature activists. Mr. Salamat Khan, Convenor School Support Committee appreciated the efforts of AKHS Booni and thanked School Management for the arrangements of such program related to environment and its preservation.
