    By Zahiruddin

CHITRAL: None of the four doctors from Chitral reported in THQ hospital Drosh who had transferred from different public sector hospitals in Peshawar on 10th January this year.

The competent authority had hastened to order the transfers to quell the protests of the local people against the shortage of lady doctors in the hospital for the last one year.

The doctors included Dr. Zahida Parveen, Dr. Syeda Nargis Parveen, Dr. Haroon Mustafa and Dr. Azmat Wali Shah who had earlier got their orders transferred when they were transferred on 25th September 2019 as well.

Sources told Chitral Times that the transfer orders have yet to be cancelled or withdrawn by the competent authority while no action has been initiated against the recalcitrant public servants who defied the orders for long.

Meanwhile, the A leader of Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) Qari Jamal Abdul Nasir has criticized the government for its failure to provide doctors to the Drosh hospital which catered the healthcare facilities in more than six union councils embracing a population of 150,000 apart from the Afghans reaching here by Arandu border.

He warned that the people of Drosh will take to streets and will go to any extent of protest to force the government to make up the shortage of doctors and the facilities of diagnosis.
