SIR OSAMA SHAHEED….‘‘THE DC FOREVER’’……..Syed Mazhar Ali Shah, Deputy Secretary Home Deptt.

A great soul serves everyone all the time. A great soul never dies. It brings us together again and again. The experience of grief over the demise of a loved one, especially one who is your mentor and companion at the same time, never ends. One learns to live on with the agony of loss. Although the wound may seem to heal with time, but there come certain days when a renewed wave of grief erupts, and you feel hapless to handle. It is now four year I lost you on the back day of 7th December 2016.I miss him, but increasingly I want to honour him and cherish his memory. I want to honour him by continuing to better myself in actions and thoughts. Osama was an epitome of compassion, of duty, of style, of beauty. He was a symbol of selfless humanity. A standard bearer for the rights of the truly downtrodden and someone with disabilities. Although God granted you but half a life, we will always feel cheated that you were taken away so young. And so, if I praise him, my words sound belittling. Great men and eminent men have monuments in bronze and marble set up for them, but this man of divine fire managed in his lifetime to become enshrined in thousand people’s hearts, so that all of us became somewhat of the stuff that he was made of, though to an infinitely lesser degree. He spread out in this way all over KPK, not just in palaces, or in selected places or in assemblies, but in every hamlet and hut of the lowly and those who suffer. He lives on in the hearts of many and he will live for immemorial ages.

    .
Dear Osama, I am always thankful for having known your beautiful soul. I will always miss you. Through thick and thin you were always there to guide and encourage me. Rest in peace Dear sir.
