ISLAMABAD: H.E Mr. Adel Al Jubeir, Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs called on Prime Minister Imran Khan today. He is on a one-day visit to Pakistan, to follow up on the visit of HRH Muhammad bin Salman on 17-18 February 2019. Recalling the landmark visit of the Crown Prince to Pakistan, the Prime Minister expressed the confidence that the decisions regarding release of 2107 Pakistani prisoners and increase in Hajj quota to 200.000 would be implemented in a smooth and timely manner. He added that HRH won the hearts of Pakistani people by his generous offer of support to Pakistani community. Expressing satisfaction over the progress towards medium and long-term economic and investment cooperation, the Prime Minister hoped that the newly launched Saudi-Pakistan Supreme Coordination Council will help build a comprehensive, tangible and result oriented relationship between the two countries. H.E Mr. Adel Al Jubeir conveying sincere wishes of Saudi Crown Prince to the leadership and people of Pakistan, expressed deep appreciation for Pakistan’s peace overtures to normalize current situation. He acknowledged the role played by Pakistan for regional peace and stability.
