After 2015 flood government and non-government organization picked few peak points on a stream line of Reshun and constructed flood protection walls, at that time very few peoples are aware about the importance of these protection wall along the stream line. On the mechanism of 100ft length, 6ft width and 10ft height of 7 to 10 flood protection wall constructed on different point through the local village societies. Wither non availability of funds or least interest of government very few peak danger points will remain unprotected and no one noticed that peak danger flood diverging points on Reshun stream.
.
The flood danger is over and few show piece of protection wall have been constructed and like as usual our public get to routine life back. This time very few clean observers are demanding more flood protection walls along the remaining stream line but unfortunately they didn’t get avail of it.
.
On 26 August 2020 once again devastating flesh flood hit this region. This time flood magnitude was two times harder than the previous one. Infrastructure, agriculture and irrigation system of the region was fully destroyed.
But one question in my mind was circulating.
.
Although destruction was huge but comparing with the magnitude of flood it was still limited than from 2015 flood but why?
To get answer of this on 4 September I started data collection with one of my colleague from the starting point of Flood affected region that is from the recently new constructed building of Reshun power house. Fortunately this newly constructed structure of Reshun power house is fully safe from this disastrous flood, the reason of safety was one month before newly constructed protection wall along with the building. If this protection wall would late one month more I guarantee the Power house building will be in more worsted condition than the 2015 flood. All I am going to say that our new power house building is safe AlhamdulliAllah just because of that 200 ft lengthy protection wall.
Being on the most super hit point of flood still few area of Panandeh, Batekandeh, Golguch, and mostly Romandur are safe, this is just because of that 7 to 10 flood protection walls which I have mentioned.
After clean observing the situation and eye witness of desolation I concluded.
1.Government take the role of protection wall serious and approved more and more protection wall on those turning point where the risk of flood overflow is high.
2.Protection wall would be constructed at least 15ft distant away from the stream line.
If government and non-government organization start the rehabilitation work again taking these two points at the most prior then inshaAllah our ravishing land of reshun will be safe from the upcoming natural disaster of flood.
