Everyone is using social media and many pages have been made using the name of Chitral by many social media users.They are poised to share uncalled-for,indecent and cockamamie news regarding covid_19 without knowing the facts just to get few likes and comments.We all know that everyone is on pins and needles nowadays on account of this macabre virus and going through a rough-patch.In this situation, sharing false news and informations can spread panic and lead towards mental-illness.
Few days ago ,i saw a video shared by a page (Don’t want to mention the name)in which plethora of dead bodies were being buried and the caption was “Current situation of Italy”.It really dragged me down.Then i started searching about that video on Google and found that the video was from an English movie named “Contagion“… Similarly,there was a news circulating on social media that this “virus can be killed by drinking hot water” and many pages were sharing that news in lieu of searching whether it is true or not.
We have many official and reliable pages on Facebook that are doing great job and giving right news.We should follow them if we want to be up-to-date otherwise we will be in tight corner..
It is my tender-heartedly request to all the admins of those pages , please shun spreading false news and bringing malaise among the people and my suggestion to all social media users is “Do not believe on every news of every page”.
