PESHAWAR: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) held its meeting under the Chairmanship of Mr. Shakeel Qadir Khan, the Additional Chief Secretary P&D Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 19th March, 2020. The meeting was attended by members of PDWP and concerned departments. The forum considered 31 projects pertaining to different sectors including Urban Development, Health, Home, Road & Bridges, Transport, Local Government and Multi-Sectoral Development sectors for the uplift of the province. The forum approved 16 Projects with an estimated cost of Rs. 6940.765 million, 1 project was cleared by PDWP and was recommended to Federal Government for approval, while 14 projects were deferred and were returned to their respective departments for rectification.

Approved projects of Urban Development sector were:
1. Construction of Bus terminals Fruit & Vegetable Markets parks traffic management public toilets sports facilities parking places and beautification in selected urban: Sub Head: Construction of Taxi Stand at Taro Khel Durba Khel District Mohmand.
2. Peshawar Uplift Programme Sub Head: Improvement of Green Belt alongwith Railway 1 from KTH emergency gate to Kushal Khan Khattak Road at University Town Peshawar.
3. Construction of Detour Road Hayatabad remaining portion( Land and Construction Cost).
Approved Projects of Health Sector were:
4. Public Private Partnership for operationalization of model hospital Sholam SWA
5. Construction of Masjid & Accommodation for Examiners at Saidu Medical College, Swat (Self Finance Project).
6. Provision of standard Medical equipment/non-medical equipment at secondary hospitals.
Approved Projects of Home Sector were:
7. Acquisition of land for heavy firing range adjacent to elite police training center Nowshera.
8. Purchase of Land for Construction of Police Lines Dagger District Buner.
Approved Project of Roads & Bridges Sector was:
9. F/S, Design, Improvement / Widening & BT of Ranyal to Chichloo Road (10 Km), Shangla.
Approved Project of Transport Sector was:
10. Establishment Transport facilitation Centers in 7-No Districts in Merged Areas.
Approved Projects of Local Government Sector were:
11. Municipal Services Delivery Project. (USAID Assisted) Sub Head:
Improvement/Rehabilitation of Water Supply & Sanitation System in DI Khan, with the assistance of USAID in Pakistan.
12. Municipal Services Delivery Project. (USAID Assisted) Sub Head:
Improvement/Rehabilitation of Water Supply System in Malakand Division (Mingora Swat) with the assistance of USAID in Pakistan.
Approved Projects of Multi-Sectoral Development Sector were:
13. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Stunting Prevention and Rehabilitation Integrated Nutrition Gain (KP SPRING Project) (SDGs) Cost Rs. 2217.851 (Local=757.110 Foreign=1460.741)
14. Special Development Package for Remote and Neglected Areas in District South Waziristan.
15. Provision for Contractors Decretal accrued Liabilities, Land Compensation and Uncashed Cheques.
16. 070242-Clearance of Contractors’ liabilities, Compensation / Arbitration Awards, Court decretal amounts and escalation in FATA.
