PESHAWAR: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) held its meeting under the Chairmanship of Dr. Shahzad Khan Bangash, the Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 29th January, 2019. The meeting was attended by Mr. Shahab Ali Shah Secretary P&D Department, members of PDWP, representatives of Tribal Districts along with members of Planning Commission and SAFRON Division. The forum considered 43 projects pertaining to different sectors including Finance, Local Government, Multi-Sectoral Development, Elementary & Secondary Education, Health, Environment, Population Welfare, Research & Development, Local Government, Energy & Power, Urban Planning, Fata Development Authority, Water, Roads, Law & Justice, Transport, Industries and Sports & Tourism sectors for the uplift of the province. The forum approved 39 Projects with an estimated cost of Rs. 16550.020 million. 04 project were deferred due to inadequate designs and returned to respective department for rectification.
Approved project of Finance sector was “Construction / Renovation of Treasury / District Accounts Offices in KP”.
Approved projects of Local Government sector were “(Hiring or Architectural & Engineering Services) Consultant for Design & Construction Supervision of schemes under MSP-KP, Provision of Solid Waste Management Vehicles and Equipment to the Existing /New Municipal Committees in FATA, Provision of Municipal Services/Civic Amenities in Major Towns of South Tribal Districts” .Approved project of Multi-sectoral Development sector was “Clearance of liabilities Court Decree cases 2018-19 (Spur No. 18) D.I Khan”.
Approved projects of Elementary & Secondary Education sector were “Provision of support for high performing schools in FATA, Conversion of High Performing Schools into Schools of excellence in Tribal Districts KP (Quick impact)”.
Approved projects of Health sector were “Provision of Medicines and Diagnostic Materials for Health Facilities, Opening of 41 CHC/CDs in Mohmand Agency, Opening of 20 CHC/CDs in Khyber Agency, Opening of 11 CHC/CDs in FR Peshawar, Opening of 07 CDs in Kurram Agency, Opening of 15 CHC/CDs in Orakzai Agency, Opening of 24 CHC/CDs in North Waziristan Agency, Opening of 06 CHC/CDs in FR Bannu, Opening of 18 CHCs in South Waziristan Agency, Opening of 07 CHC/CDs in FR Tank, Opening of 08 CD/CHCs in FR DI Khan, Provision of Furniture, Equipment, Instt: Bedding Clothing in Existing Health facilities in Tribal Districts/Subdivision”.
Approved project of Population Welfare sector was “Population Welfare Program Tribal Districts”.
Approved Projects of Energy & Power sector were “Solar Electrification of 300 Masajid/Worship places for non-Muslims in merged Districts (Erstwhile FATA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Construction of Chapare – Charkhil Hydropower Project District Kurram”.
Approved Project of Urban Development sector was “Architectural competition by Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners”.
Approved Project of FATA Development Authority (FDA) was “Career building short courses for tribal districts youth in multiple trades,
Approved projects of Water sector were “Construction of Flood Protection Works downstream of Fizzaghat aong Left Bank of Swat River in District Swat, Construction of Flood Protection Works along Brando River in District Buner, Construction of Flood Protection Structure at critical location in different Nullahs of Kohat Irrigation Division, Construction of Flood Protection work for protection of Agriculture land U/S and D/S Causeway along Ismaila Drain (Naranji Nullah) in village Swabi District Swabi, Construction of Flood Protection Structure at vulnerable location and its tributaries in District Bannu, Construction of Flood Protection Structure at vulnerable location and its tributaries in District Bannu and Lakki Marwat District, Construction of Flood Protection works at Bari Shaikh-ul-Bandi District Abbottabad, Construction of Flood Protection works along Chitral/Mastuj River at Green Lahst and Reshun District Chitral”.
Approved project of Law & Justice was “Reconstruction and Renovation of Judicial Complex Nowshera.
Approved project of Transport sector was “Establishment of Transport Inspection Stations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa”.
Approved projects of Industries sector were “Establishment of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa University of Technology at Nowshera (Phase-I), KP-BADLOON (NMDs Chapter)”.
Approved projects of Sports & Tourism sector were “Tourist Facilitation Centers (TFC) and Rest Areas, Integrated Tourism Area Development Programme under IDA”.
