PESHAWAR: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) held its meeting under the Chairmanship of Dr. Shahzad Khan Bangash, the Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 31st May, 2019. The meeting was attended by Mr. Atif Rehman, Secretary P&D Department, members of PDWP, representatives of Planning Commission, concerned departments and Districts level officers of Merged Areas. The forum considered 30 projects pertaining to different sectors including Water, MSD, Health, DWSS, Urban Development, Roads & Bridges, Higher Education and Sports & Tourism for the uplift of the province and specifically Merged Areas.
The forum approved 26 Projects with an estimated cost of Rs. 30551.130 million while 1 Project was dropped and 3 projects were deferred due to inadequate design and other deficiencies, and were returned to their respective departments for rectification.
The Approved projects of Multi Sectoral Development sector were “(a) Contractor’s accrued liabilities of contractor Haji Muhammad Khan District Chitral against the work “Rehabilitation of Damaged Bridge over Yarkhoon River at Brep District Chitral Rs. 7.283 million (b) Payment of outstanding salaries to Mr. Mairajuddin, Ex-Sr. Chief of Section P&DD/Planning Advisor for the period March 2011 to August 2011. Rs. 0.404 million (c) Court Decretal amount of Miss Fatima Bibi and others resident of D.I Khan amounting to Rs. 0.322 million (d) Pending liabilities of various sectors and projects under ADP 2017-18 approved

Approved projects of Health sector were “Additional Works in Peshawar Institute of Cardiology, Improvement/ Rehabilitation of District Headquarters and Teaching Hospitals of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Establishment of Independent Monitoring Unit in Health Department, Public Private Partnership for operationalization of AHQ Hospital Mishti Mela Orakzai Agency”.
Approved projects of DWSS sector were “Water Supply & Sanitation schemes at a) UC Shawar b) UC Arkot c) UC Pir Kalay D) UC Bara Bandai, District Swat, Water Supply & Sanitation schemes at a) UC Koza Bandai b) UC Kanju c) UC Hazara D) UC Bar Abakhel e) UC Kala Kalay, District Swat, Consultancy Services for F/S, Design/PC-I, Solarization & Supervision of DWSS of PHE in FATA”.
Approved projects of Urban Development sector were “Construction of Bus Terminal at Shewa Adda-Swabi and Takht Bhai-Mardan, Rehabilitation of Sewerage / Solid Waste Treatment Plants in Peshawar & Divisional Headquarters, Provision of Funds to TMAs for Procurement of Sanitation Vehicles & Equipment, Uplift & Beautification of Divisional Headquarters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Uplift & Beautification of Divisional Headquarters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. SH: Cattle Marked, Bannu, improvement of Municipal Roads in Urban Areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,
Approved projects of Roads sector were Provision for Liabilities of Land Compensation.SH: Land acquisition 15-kanals & 15 Marlas at Mauza Hargoni (Chamkani Interchange) Peshawar, (Muhammad Jamil, Muhammad Fazeel (S/O Haji Khan) & Mst. Mehtaza etc V/S ( (a) District Officer Revenue (b) Deputy Commissioner Peshawar (c) XEC C&W Highway Division Peshawar” i. Arshad Mehmood V/S Government.ii. Muzzafar Jan V/S Government. iii. Approved project of Higher Education sector were “Strengthening of BS Program and teacher engagement for BS-4 years degree programme, Provision of Funds for the balance civil works at University of Malakand, Establishment of Women University Campus in Swabi”.
Approved project of Sports & Tourism sector were “Development of 1000 playing facilities in KPK, Upgradation of football ground at Qayum stadium, Peshawar”.
