PESHAWAR: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) held its Special meeting under the Chairmanship of Dr. Shahzad Khan Bangash, the Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 3rd May, 2019. The meeting was attended by members of PDWP, representatives of Planning Commission, concerned departments and Tribal Districts. The forum considered 39 projects pertaining to different sectors including Agriculture, Forestry, Industry, Higher Education, Roads, Building, DWSS, Energy & Power, Multi-sectoral Development and Local Government for the uplift of the province. The forum approved 23 Projects with an estimated cost of Rs. 48062.621 million. 16 projects were deferred due to inadequate design and returned to their respective departments for rectification.
Approved projects of Agriculture Sector were “Establishment of Trout Villages in Malakand and Hazara Division, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Irrigated Agriculture Improvement Project (Agriculture Component) under IDA”.
Approved project of Forestry sector was “Creation of Forest Knowledge Parks in Southern Districts”.
Approved projects of Industries sector were “KP Women Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Programme (KP WSEDPP) & Readymade Garments Industry, Establishment of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Small Industrial Estate Abbottabad-II, Village Mumda, Havelian, Small Industrial Estate Abbottabad – 2 (Acquisition of Land), Interest Free Micro Finance Scheme (IMFS) for Entrepreneurs in Merged Areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa”.
Approved projects of Road sector were “F/S, Design and Reconstruction of RCC Bridges i) Pir Bala on KM-7, Peshawar, ii) Kanawer Bridge on Charsadda Tangi Road, iii) Elai Bridge on S-10 at Buner and iv) Bridge on Haripur-Beer Section S-12 (Length-160m), Construction of Haripur Bypass Road (23-KM)”.
Approved Projects of DWSS sector were “Solarization of Existing and Construction of New Solar Based DWSS in Tribal Districts, Construction of Gravity Based DWSS in North Tribal Districts, Construction of Solar / Tube Well Based & Gravity Based DWSS in Districts Mohmand, Construction of Solar Based DWSS in District Khyber, Post Evaluation Study of 10 years intervention and tribal districts (PC-V)2018-19(Merged Areas), Gravity Flow Water Supply Scheme, District Mansehra (SFD Assisted)”.
Approved projects of MSD sector were “Establishment of PPP Support Unit in P&D Department, Development of Regional GDP/ Economic Indicators (BoS), Haq Darrra to Maghoo Check Post (Sursurang) (4.50 KM) (2) Lakka Tiga Road (Afghan Border Area ) (3 KM), Clearance of Contractors Liabilities, Compensation/Arbitration Awards, Court Decretal amounts and Escalation in FATA, Pending liabilities of various sectors and projects under ADP 2017-18 approved through supplementary grant by Cabinet and cleared scrutiny Committee headed by Secretary C&W Department, Guidelines / parameters regarding ADP scheme titled “Provision for Contractors Decretal/Accrued Liabilities and Un-cashed cheques”.
Approved projects of Local Government sector were “Replacement of Water Supply Pipes adjacent to Sewerage Lines in KP, Establishment of 3 Water Supply Schemes each in Thandiani, Khanspur & Changa Gali Galiyat Area District Abbotabad”.
Approved project of Higher Education sector was “Reconstruction/Special Repair of Govt Colleges in KP”.
