PESHAWAR: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) held its meeting under the Chairmanship of Dr. Shahzad Khan Bangash, the Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 8th October, 2019. This was the longest session/meeting of PDWP of the Current Financial year 2019-20 which held for consecutive 9 hours. The meeting was attended by Mr. Khalid Ilyas, Secretary P&D Department, members of PDWP, concerned departments and Districts level officers of Merged Areas. The forum considered 100 projects pertaining to different sectors including Industries, Mines & Minerals, Information, Law & Justice, Urban Development, Roads & Bridges, Health, Auqaf, Higher Education, Elementary & Secondary Education, Relief & Rehabilitation, Water, DWSS, Home, Agriculture and AIP sectors for the uplift of the province and Merged Areas. The forum
approved 91 Projects with an estimated cost of Rs. 88038.381 million. 9 projects were deferred due to inadequate designs and were returned to their respective departments for rectification.

The PDWP has approved 20 projects of Rs. 37230.42 million under the Accelerated Implementation Program/Tribal Decade Strategy. This will usher in a new era of development in the merged areas which will help brining it at par with the rest of the province. The Chair directed that as committed, the processing and approval of projects of Accelerated Implementation Programme (AIP) has been given top priority.

1. Imrovement and widening and BT of road from Tangi Bucha bridge to Serai via Ghandheri and Zegai to Bucha Khan Kili, from Cheena to Sherpao via Ghazo dheri i/c link road to Tootakai Tehsil Tangi Distt Charsadda.
2. Construction of roads in Ucs MC1,2,3,4, Mera prang, Doolat pura, Agra, Hisara yaseenzai, Tarnao, Kangra and Battagram District Charsadda.
3. F/S, Design and Dualization of 16 KM Road from Jamil Chowk (Ring Road) towards Urmar Payan Peshawar (Rev).
4. Construction of roads in PK-66, District Peshawar.
5. Rehabilitation/Const. of Roads/Internal roads at UCs Haryana,
Gulbela, Takhtabad, khazana, kankola, Pakha Ghulam, nahaqi, & adjoining areas including bridge, and Const of street Malik Saad Colony, Duranpur, Ring road, Peshawar.
6. Construction / Improvement of roads in Topi, Swabi and Lahore, District Swabi.
7. Construction of Kharkay Road, Mardan.
8. Construction/ Rehabilitaion of Roads at UCs Fatma, Babini, Gujrat, Garyala, Ghari Daulatzai, Bagicha Dheri, Shahbaz Ghari, Rural Mardan, Bakshali, Mardan.
9. Construction/Rehab of rural roads / Culverts/streets/drainage system / clearance of drainage system at UCs Ghala Dher, Mohabbat Abad, Rorya, Muslim Abad, Guli Bagh Bari Cham, Hoti, Par Hoti, Sikandary & Bicket Gunj in District Mardan.

7. Establishment of District Head Quarter Hospital at Ghazi Abad, District Kolai Palas.
8. Establishment of Paramedics College & Male Nursing College in Lakki Marwat.
9. Establishment of Saidu College of Dentistry in the existing Saidu Medical College.
10. Topping-up of MNCH Program, Merged District (MDs) (2019-20).
11. Opening of 20 CHCs / CDs in Khyber Agency.
12. Opening of 41 CHCs / CDs in Mohmand Agency.
13. Opening of 11 CHCs / CDs in FR Peshawar.

15. Provision of doctors at far flung areas (=300 doctors @ Rs. 200,000/month).
16. Introduction of Portable Ultrasounds at 24/7 BEMOC facilities including training of Skilled Birth Attendants.

1. Provision of basic infrastructure, teacher and other inputs at education facilities. Development of Play areas in schools of Merged Areas under AIP TDS for E&SE Department.
2. Provision of Stipends to Secondary School Girls Studetns of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Phase-XV) (SBSE).
3. Capacitating 500 ECE Rooms in Government Primary Schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (SBSE).

1. Establishment of emergency rescue service (Rescue 1122) in All Tribal Districts & 06 FR (Sub Divisions) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

1. Construction/ Improvement of Flood Protection Works, Chennels, Tubewells and Crossing Facilities on need basis in Tehsils Alpuri and Bisham District Shangla.
2. Construction of flood protection works, irrigation channels and installation of solar tube wells in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on need basis.
3. Construction & improvement of drainage system, channels/canals, ponds, roads, bridges/culverts and flood protection works in District Nowshera.
