PESHAWAR: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) held its meeting under the Chairmanship of Dr. Shahzad Khan Bangash, the Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday. The meeting was attended by Mr. Shahab Ali Shah Secretary P&D Department, its members and concerned authorities. The forum considered 41 projects pertaining to different sectors including Energy & Power, Water, Law & Justice, Elementary & Secondary Education, Auqaf, Building, DWSS, Roads & Bridges, Multi Sectoral Development, Finance, Local Government, Health and Forestry sectors for the uplift of the province. The forum approved 37 Projects with an estimated cost of Rs. 138472.147 million. 4 projects were deferred due to inadequate designs and returned to their respective departments.
The approved projects of Energy & Power sector were “Balakot Hydro Power Project (310 MW), Solarization of Civil Secretariat (for remaining Departments of Civil Secretariat) (ADP Funded), Construction of 356 Mini-Micro Hydropower Projects in Northern Districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa”.
Approved projects of Water sector were “Provision /Construction of Irrigation Tube Wells in Tehsil Matta District Swat, Restoration / Improvement of Small Irrigation Channels in Tehsil Matta District Swat, Construction of Roads along Water Channels and Drains in Tehsil Matta District Swat, Construction of Flood Protection Structures, Bridges and Improvement / Restoration of existing structures on Swat River and its Tributaries in Tehsil Matta District Swat, Rehabilitation of canal roads, culverts and flood protection walls in U/Cs South, Darwesh, Pandak, Ali Khan, Sarai Saleh, Rehana, Shah Maqsood and Pind Hashim Khan district Haripur, Construction / Improvement of Flood Protection Works, Roads and Water Channels in Kabal, Ningolai, Kanju, Sherpalam and adjoining areas District Swat”.
Approved projects of Law & Justice sector were “Additional Funds for acquisition of land for the construction of judicial complexes at sub divisional Behrain, Khwazakhela and Matta District Swat, F/S & Master Planning and Detailed Designing of Judicial Complex, Abbottabad”.
Approved projects of Elementary & Secondary Education were “Standardization of 200 Higher Secondary Schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Phase-I), IT Labs Programme in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (MOFCOM Assistance), Provision of Stipend to Secondary Schools Girls Students of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Phase-XIV) (SBSE), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Girls Community Schools project (Phase-I) (SBSE)”.
Approved project of Building sector was “Restoration of flood damages /strengthening protection of District Head Quarter Offices, Buner SH: District Secretariat Buner, Construction of Tehsil Buildings for Rajjar Swabi, Katlang Mardan and Domel Bannu. SH: Construction of Tehsil Building Rajjar District Swabi”.
Approved project of DWSS sector was “Construction & Rehabilitation of Water Supply Schemes Tehsil Haripur, District Haripur”.
Approved projects of Roads & Bridges sector were “Rehabilitation of Road from Chamkani to PAF Camp Badaber District Peshawar, Provision for Liabilities of Land Compensation. SH: i.Syed Walayat Shah ii. Syed Mahmood Shah iii. Syed Saddar Shah iv. Syed Iqbal Shah S/O Syed Farman Ali Shah v.Mst Shahida Begum D/O Attaullah Shah W/O Mahmood Shah versus (i) Collector Peshawar (ii) Executive Engineer Highway Division Peshawar (iii) Government of NWFP through Secretary C&W Peshawar (iv) Sub Divisional Officer, maintenance Sub Division Peshawar, Provision for Liabilities of Land Compensation. SH: Acquisition of Land Abbottabad Muree Road (widening) in Mouza Bagnotar (Decretal Amount) District Abbottabad, Widening & Improvement of Tarnawa Kohala Bala Road (35 Km) District Haripur, Construction and Blacktopping of road from Sarki Lawagher to Alamsheri District Karak.(12Km), Construction /rehabilitation/ BT of Koray to Deran Patay Road, Hakeem Abad Darmay road, Sardan Road,Gamser road,Batkoo road,Azad Banda Road, Kharkai Koat road, Mula Patay road, Swat, Const/BT of road from Baryam-Nazarbad, Airport-Mamdhera, Gorra-Tangai Shah,Totanu Bandai, Tangai Cheena,Sigram,Mahak-Narang pura, Venai-Ochrai & Sijban-Sperdar. Reconst. of rd Kalakaly-Nasrat Chowk,Giga Tangbanr,Bara Bandai-Ghurejo, Shawar Gat- Landysar Swat, Construction of different roads (11 KM) at Tehsil Matta District Swat, Construction /Imp / Rehab of road from Machai Branch via Palo dheri to Village Jalil Road and Dubai Adda to Village Chargah Road, District Mardan, Construction of Internal Road, in U/Cs Central, South, North, Rehana, Shah Maqsood, Ali Khan, Darwesh, Pandak, Mankrai, PInd Hashim khan, Sarai Saleh, Sarai Naimat Khan and Sikanderpura, Haripur, Construction of a) Makhnial to Kharian Neelan Poto road (9Km) b) Gandian Kamawa Chapra Road (12 Km), District Haripur, F/S, Design and Rehabilitation of C&W roads in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa”.
Approved project of Multi sectoral Development sector were “Provision for Contractors Decretal accrued Liabilities and Uncashed Cheques. SH-I: Payment to Decree holders “M/S ACE Transportation vs Government of KP through Additional Chief Secretary, P&D Department and others, Provision for National MICS (SDGs)”
Approved projects of Finance sector were “Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Mobilization and Public Resource Management Program”.
Approved projects of Health sector were “Establishment of Fountain House in Peshawar, Establishment of Divisional Food and Drug Testing Laboratories at Swat, DI Khan and Abbottabad, Construction of Building for Gomal Medical College, D.I Khan, Phase-II”.
Approved project of Forestry sector was “10 BTTP upscaling of Green Pakistan Program. Revival of Forestry Resources in KP”.
