PDWP approved 29 projects with an estimated cost of Rs. 33819.208 million

PESHAWAR: The meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) was held under the Chairmanship of Mr. Shakeel Qadir Khan, the Additional Chief Secretary P&D Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 2nd June, 2020. The meeting was attended by members of PDWP and concerned departments. The forum considered 30 projects pertaining to Health, Social Welfare, Roads & Bridges, Agriculture, Water and DWSS sector for the uplift of the province. The forum approved 29 Projects with an estimated cost of Rs. 33819.208 million, while 3 projects were deferred and were returned to their respective departments for rectification.

Approved projects of Health sector were
1.      Integrated Vector Management Program in FATA.
2.      Establishment of Children & Maternity Hospital Charsadda.
3.      Upgradation of Existing Accident & Emergency Unit and ICU at HMC, Peshawar.
4.      Establishment of Independent Monitoring Unit in Health Department.
5.      Upgradation of existing THQ Hospital Matta to Cat-B Hospital (Vertical Expansion) along with (Level-II) Trauma Center/Accident & Emergency Center, District Swat
6.      Upgradation of DHQ Hospital, Abbottabad.
7.      Provision of biometric system/ surveillance cameras 8.      Saving Maternal & Infant Lives

Approved projects of Social Welfare sector were:
9.      Establishment Of Detox Unit And Capacity Enhancing Of the Existing Eleven Drug Addict Rehabilitation Centres In KP.
10.     Establishment Of Boys Campuses Of Model Institute (Zamung Kor) For State Children In District Swat, Dera Ismail Khan And Abbottabad And A
Girls Campus In Peshawar (Non-ADP)

Approved projects of MSD sector were
11.     Establishment of China Pakistan Economic Corridor Cell (CPEC Cell) in P&D Department
12.     Clearance of Contractors’ liabilities, Compensation / Arbitration Awards, Court decretal amounts and escalation in FATA.
13.     Provision for Contractors Decretal accrued Liabilities, Land
Compensation and Uncashed Cheques SH: Water Supply Scheme Mansehra City Phase IV Mansehra.

Approved projects of Roads & Bridges sector were:
14.     Rehabilitation / Renovation of P&D Department Old Block
15.     F/S, Design and Construction of RCC Bridge at Ayun, Chitral.
16.     Construction/ Rehabilitation of road, UC Nar Jaffar, UC Kakki-I, UC Baharat, UC Kausar Fateh Khel, UC Mandan, District Bannu.
17.     Construction of roads in PK-61 District Nowshera
18.     Imp & Reconstn of road from Sherwan to Thathi UC Sherwan & road from Civil Hospital to Ratian via Thandara with link to Sari Sher shah and Bandi Nikian U/C Pind Kargoo Distt Abbottabad.

19.     Widening and Carpeting Bonni Bazund Torkhow road (28 KM) District Chitral Upper.
20.     Construction of Bridges in All Agencies, FATA.
21.     Improvement of Road from Khar to Timergara and Toor Ghundi-Khar Road, 15KM
22.     Improvement of Khar Mamad Gat (Mohmand Boundary) Road, 28 KM.
23.     Improvement of Thall Mirali (NWA) Road (54 Km)
24.     Improvement and Rehabilitation of Road from Pir Qala to Ghalanai (Balance portion).
25.     Construction of Darazinda Bypass via Waya Charmari 07 Km in Sub Division Darazinda.

Approved projects of Water sector were:
26.     Construction of Flood Protection Works in U.C Banda Pir Khan, Baldheri, Jhangi, Salhad, Pawa Chamhad, Kuthiala, Pind Kagroo Khan, Jarral, Sherwan and Havelian Urban.
27.     Feasibility study Detail Design and Construction of Badri Nullah and its Distributaries I/C Improvement of Irrigation System in District Swabi.

Approved projects of DWSS sector were:
28.     Water Supply Schemes in PK-38 KP, District Abbottabad.
29.     Construction of Drinking Water Supply & Sanitation Schemes on need basis.
