PAF Shows Air Superiority: Sources Confirm Indian Jet Losses – By: Zubair Khan
In recent days, tensions between India and Pakistan have once again increased. During this time, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has shown impressive performance, as multiple independent sources confirm that PAF successfully shot down several Indian jets during an air clash earlier this week.
The incident took place on the night between May 6 and 7, involving 42 Pakistani and 72 Indian fighter jets. Both sides remained within their own airspace and did not cross borders. According to Pakistan’s military (ISPR), the PAF used it’s made in China advanced PL-15 missiles to shoot down a MiG-21, a MiG-29, a Su-30, a drone (UAV), and two Rafale jets. These aircraft reportedly crashed in areas like Pampore, Akhnoor, Bathinda, and Srinagar.
Although India has not officially accepted these losses, there are strong reasons to believe Pakistan’s claims:
1. Indian Media Reports Aircraft Crashes
On May 8, a journalist from India Today reported a crash near Akhnoor, mentioning that similar incidents happened around the same time in Kashmir. The Indian Air Force quickly sealed off these areas. But this clip was later removed from mainstream and social media sites, which raises questions. why such secrecy if nothing serious happened?
2. International Support for Pakistan’s Claims
According to CNN, a French security official confirmed the downing of one Rafale. Reuters also quoted two U.S. intelligence officers who supported the same claim, adding international weight to the report.apart from that local media handle named as ” The Wire ” also got ban in India for hosting an interview in which the guest who is an ex Indian army officer accepts the crash of Indian jets.
3. Stock Market Reaction Highlights Shift in Power
After the incident, the share price of Dassault Aviation (the French company that makes Rafale jets) dropped sharply. Meanwhile, Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group, the Chinese company that manufactures the J-10C aircrafts used by the PAF, saw a significant increase in their shares. This market trend suggests global recognition of Pakistan’s strong aerial performance and suggests that indeed rafale has been hit .
Even though there is no official admission from India, the combination of eyewitness accounts, media reports, international sources, and market reactions shows that the Pakistan Air Force achieved a major success. This development holds great importance not just for Pakistan’s defense sector, but also for the wider global military and political landscape . because it’s a hard war between Pakistan and India but a laboratory for China and the West where they are experimenting their defence products.
