    NAB (KP) Regional Board  authorizes inquiry against EOBI officials and others

    PESHAWAR: The Regional Board Meeting (RBM) of National Accountability Bureau Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was chaired by Mr. Farmanullah Khan, Director General NAB (KP) at Peshawar. The meeting was attended by Directors, Deputy Prosecutor General (DPGA), Case Officers, and other concerned officers. Several important decisions were taken in the Regional Board Meeting.

    The Board authorized inquiry against officers and officials of EOBI and others regarding corruption and misuse of authority. The subjects are alleged to have misused their authority by not giving pensions to deserving employees. It is further alleged that pensions were disbursed to unregistered and fake employees. Furthermore, irregularities in the process of registration are also evident.

     

     

    The board upgraded two inquiries into investigations against employees of FATA Secretariat and others regarding corruption & corrupt practices. The subjects are involved in embezzlement of millions of rupees funds allocated for various developmental schemes in FATA i.e. Kurram Agency, FR Tank & D.I. Khan.

     

    Besides these the board approved filling of supplementary reference against Jamal Khan Khattak Ex-Area Sales Manager Nestle Pakistan Ltd. The accused person cheated public at large and grabbed millions of rupees from innocent people fraudulently in the name of fake business in Nestle Pakistan Limited.

     

    The board also approved filling of supplementary reference against Umar Hayat Senior Auditor, District Accounts Officer District Shangla regarding accumulation of illegal asset beyond known sources of income.

     

    DG NAB (KP) vowed that as per directions of Honourable Justice Javed Iqbal Chairman NAB, NAB KP is determined to do across the board accountability on the basis of solid evidence as per law. He further said that eradication of corruption is not only our social and moral obligation but it also ensures prosperous future of our coming generations.
