PESHAWAR: NAB KP gets detailed information on embezzlement of funds in Billion Tree Tsunami project from forest department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
As per details NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa initiated probe into Billion Tree Tsuanmi Project. For this purpose a Team of officers is constituted to conduct probe into embezzlement of funds in the project. In this connection a briefing was given by concerned officers of Forest Deptt to Director General NAB (KP) Mr. Farmanullah Khan. The briefing was attended by directors, ADPGA and the concerned CIT. The Forest Deptt Team included Secretary Forest, Chief Conservator (Region-I), Project Director Billion Tree Tsunami, O/iC Monitoring & Evaluation Forest Deptt (KP). NAB (KP) Team asked detailed questions regarding different aspects of the projects such as allocation and utilization of funds, saplings and self-growing seeds, procurement of plants, procedure for plantation, free distribution, hiring of Negehbaan, procedure for payments and other aspects of the project.
It merits to mentioning here that in compliance of direction issued by Worthy Chairman NAB Justice Javed Iqbal NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa authorities initiated probe into embezzlement of funds in Billion Tree Tsunami Project.
