Yarkhoon Lasht :Twice in a day
The second flight towards Yarkhoon was now not attractive ,this time helicopter landed at the right place, a temporary helipad, there were police and locals who received us.
Only one family had been affected, a man had lost his house due to avalanche, tents and food items were handed over to him, it was a soothing for us, after almost three hours helicopter noisy flight, the return to Chitral was joyful.

I had already visited the Police post, along with Maj Haroon and Tariq Jamil PM CADP, when I checked the officers inspection register, it was after ten years a SP /DPO visited the post.

It’s strategic location, near Broghal pass and the Wakhan corridor of Afghanistan, makes it quite important, in the recent years there has been more tourist traffic in this area, it needs more police vigilance, particularly after facility of Lawari tunnel, Chitral will have more and more visitors in the coming summers. It would be appropriate that Police departments of twin district s of Chitral train policemen for the proper protection and facilitation of visitors.
