Dear Mr. Editor,
I hope you will agree if I suggest Mr. Hidayatullah of Chitral as Pride of Chitral. He is a young man who is learning to live for others, yearns for the welfare of others, and aspires that every talented youth of Chitral has access to the best educational institutions of our country. He has taken this important task under the umbrella of ROSE (Regional Organization for Supporting Education) Chitral, since 2010. The aim and objective of the ROSE is to help deserving, but poor and talented, students of Chitral irrespective of their creed and cast. Thus by now ROSE has been able to sponsor hundreds of students by getting them admitted to different prestigious institutions, including CECOS University, RIPHAH International University, Cosmopolitan Institute of Advanced Sciences Islamabad, QURTABA University, Muslim Youth, ABASYN University, Bounce Pakistan, LEADS University etc, at Peshawar, Islamabad, Lahore etc. Detail of ROSE beneficiaries, whose career had been otherwise ruined, is as follows:

Mr. Hidayatullah, during the last many years, has been one of the busiest Chitralis to travel to different cities of Pakistan, to visit a number of philanthropists and heads of different institutions to get their co-operation. It is satisfying to know that our country is full of good people who are always available to help the needy people only if they are satisfied that the cause is genuine. One Donor made this remark, “ROSE has awakened my conscience. I now realize that how a small contribution from someone like me is going to help to change the life pattern of a whole family.”
Thus ROSE is blooming day by day by helping hundreds of families to blossom in the years to come. Mr. Hidayatullah is busy to further his important mission selflessly and tirelessly, and at the same time looking forward to every one of us for encouragement and cooperation.
The following couplet by Allama Iqbal emphasizes the importance of education through which one is able to achieve exaltedness.
Jb peer falak Na waraq ayyam ka ulta,
Aayi ye sadaa pawoga taleem sa Aizaz.
Now here is food for thought for our readers. If education bestows exaltedness on somebody then what should be the position of the one who becomes instrumental towards that end.
