CHITRAL: MPA from upper Chitral Syed Sardar Hussain Shah inaugurated two road projects in Kosht and Saht villages at a cost of Rs. 20.8 million and Rs. 20 million respectively which will link more than three thousand households with the main road.
In the inauguration ceremonies held in both the villages held on Wednesday, the villagers said that they got the road facility for the first time which will change their lives for better and they were suffering from myriad of problems in the absence of road communication.
The tehsil nazim Maulana Muhammad Yousuf, members of tehsil council Inamullah Siyar and others said that the department of communication and works (C&W) completed the road projects in a record time of four months ensuring the desired quality.
They said that the link roads will now introduce mechanized farming in the area as the covered villages were known for their crops of vegetables and fruits and it went unutilized for want of farm to market roads while tractors, threshers and other machinery will now be mobilized to the areas.
The MPA Syed Sardar Hussain Shah said that since his election to the assembly it had been his utmost priority to start road projects as the hilly areas of his constituency were without road facility due to which they lagged behind in all other sectors of development.
