Peshawar: Provincial minister for health, Dr. Hisham Inamullah Khan has shown displeasure over the delay in handling some official businesses and no timely reply by some health officials on the matter, clarifying no delay will be tolerated in the future otherwise strict disciplinary actions will be initiated.
According to the spokesperson of the health department KP media cell, that the minister sought data regarding the human resources including the doctors and different ongoing projects in the health department from the officials concerned till Jan 11, 2019, however no timely reply was received by their end. This showed lack of interest towards exercising timely disposal of important official services and also represented bad image of the department in the public.
Spokesperson said that letter of displeasure was conveyed to the concerned officials for unprofessional attitude and directed that this will not be tolerated in future otherwise matter shall be dealt as per disciplinary rules.
The spokesperson however denied the news published in a local newspaper that the health minister has regretted for the issuance of the displeasure letter, calling it totally baseless news. The spokesperson said that health officials should avoid giving such statements to media that creates an atmosphere of distrust within the department and also damages the department’s image. He further said necessary strict action shall be taken to avoid such baseless statements in future.
