CHITRAL: The MNA from Chitral Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali has said that the National Highway Authority (NHA) has agreed in principle to keep the Lowari tunnel opened for the public transport for 18 hours on daily basis which was presently 8 hours only.
Talking to Chitral Times by telephone here on Tuesday, he said that the passengers suffered a lot due to the closure of the tunnel for 16 hours of the day for public transport which he took up with the NHA chairman as a result of which it was extended to 18 hours daily.
He said proper notification to this affect will be issued in a couple of days after fulfilling the codal formalities and the public will be intimated of its by giving the news a wide publicity.
