KP education deptt restricts teachers’ visits to Govt offices during school hours
PESHAWAR (APP): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa elementary and secondary education department has issued new instructions regarding teachers’ visits to government offices, barring them from visiting various education department offices during school hours.
A formal office order to this effect has been issued by the Directorate of Elementary and Secondary Education, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Peshawar.
According to the order, all teachers have been directed not to visit the Elementary and Secondary Education Department Secretariat, the directorate, or the offices of the concerned district education officers during designated school hours.
It said teachers would not be permitted to visit the directorate or other relevant education offices during school hours.
However, an exemption may be granted if a teacher obtains prior written approval from the concerned district education officer.
The office order further stated that teachers violating the instructions will face strict departmental action under the relevant laws.
Meanwhile, all district education officers have been directed to designate only two days a week ie Tuesday and Thursday for teachers to visit their offices to raise or resolve official matters.
According to the order, teachers may visit education department offices on these two designated days only after the completion of school hours.
