CHITRAL: Convened by Chitral Task Force (CTF), a joint coordination conference of Chitral Scouts, district government and the civil society organizations was held here the other day which was aimed at lessening the gap between the three and create a congenial atmosphere for development of the area.
The commandant of CTF, colonel Moeenuddin said that the conference will pave the way for an ideal coordination between the three to further the agenda of maintaining the peace and tranquility prevalent in the area, joint and coordinated approach for solution of the problems faced by the people and making strategy for future.
He said that Pak Army was doing its utmost to remove poverty and backwardness of the area which is evident from the initiatives taken by the CTF on the direction of the chief of army staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa during the last one year.
He said that thirty projects in different sectors of development were in progress 73 percent of which has been completed.
He said that as part of its activities for the public amelioration, free medical camps were held din different remote villages of the district, protein-contained foods were provided to the children in the schools, rations and warms cloths were also distributed among the indigents.
The district nazim Maghfirat Shah, MNA from Chitral Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali, representatives of various civil society organizations and the district heads of various government department were in attendance.
