PESHAWAR: NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa arrested accused Nihad Ali and Anjum Shehzad allegedly involved in cheating public at large under the garb of illegal housing scheme Al-Haram Model Town Peshawar.
As per details, the accused persons in connivance with other accused persons lured general public to invest their hard earned money in their illegal housing society on the promise that they will provide amenities like Park/ Play Grounds, School, Community hall etc, but the accused persons did not provide the promised amenities and converted the land reserved for these amenities to residential and commercial plots and sold out in violation of site development rules. The scrutiny of record revealed that the Administration of Al-Haram Model Town was operating Housing Scheme illegally without obtaining permission / NOC from concerned authorities.
The accused person will be produced before the Accountability Court Peshawar for obtaining his physical remand.
