PESHAWAR :Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman Thursday appreciated outstanding performance of Hazara University over maintaining financial discipline in the University with true spirit.
Presiding over the Senate meeting of Hazara University in Governor’s House, the Governor said that Hazara University is one of the Higher educational institution in the privince who has maintained financial discipline by introducing good financial strategy which is highly appreciable.
He said that we wanted to see all varsities more strengthen in financial and administrative affairs adding preparation of budget on priority basis and accurate expenditure can solve the financial issues of the universities.
The Governor also directed Higher Education Deparrment to prepare proposal in filling the posts of Treasurer, Registrar, Controller Examination and Provost with qualified and experienced persons in the universities.
He also directed to utilize saving amounts in Pension and Endowment Fund to overcome the increase of pension graph in future.
On this occassion the Vice Chancellor Hazara University Prof: Dr. Jameel Ahmad briefed the forum about the financial strategy to increase University reserved to Rs. 4 billion in next three years.
He also informed, the university is making efforts to create funds for development at the university on long term basis.
The Senate also unanimously approved the Budget for the financial year 2021-22 of the University.
The meeting was attended by MPA Nawabzada Farid Silahudin, Principal Secretary to Governor Muhammad Idrees Khan, Secretary Higher Education Department Daud Khan, Additional Secretary Finance Safeer Ahmad and other members of the Senate.
