Garbage dumping in Streets
The TMO Chitral office workers are on a strike because they have not received their salaries for the last 4 months. The district administration has not been able to give them salaries and these poor people who used to keep the city clean are out of their work now. Beside them, there are employees who are linked with the water management that supplies drinking water to the city. In this holy month of Ramazan they are without salaries and they have been unable to run their homes.
Consequently, an alarming situation has risen as the cleaning system of the municipality of Chitral town is stopped. Chitral streets are day by day getting bagged with dumps of garbage and its likely to spread diseases, dirt and air pollution in the area.
