    Federal Ombudsman ensures PTCL employee receives nearly Rs1 mn in medical reimbursement

    PESHAWAR (APP): A Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) employee from Khyber district has received payment of his pending medical bills amounting to Rs997,616 following the intervention of the Federal Ombudsman Secretariat Regional Office in Peshawar.

    According to official statement, PTCL employee Nasrullah Khan had filed a complaint with the Federal Ombudsman over an unnecessary delay in the reimbursement of his medical expenses.

    Upon receiving the complaint, Regional Head and Associate Advisor Muhammad Qasim Jan took immediate notice of the matter and initiated an inquiry while pursuing the case with the relevant authorities.

    As a result of the timely intervention by the Federal Ombudsman, the complainant was paid Rs997,616 in medical bill reimbursements.

    Nasrullah Khan expressed gratitude to Federal Ombudsman Pakistan Naveed Kamran Baloch and Regional Head Peshawar Muhammad Qasim Jan, stating that the institution of the Federal Ombudsman has become a beacon of hope for poor citizens by providing prompt and effective justice without the need for lawyers, fees, or complicated procedures.

    The Federal Ombudsman Secretariat Regional Office Peshawar is providing transparent, swift, and free-of-cost services to the public for addressing complaints related to maladministration, delays, and injustices in federal institutions.
