Equipment prices for procurement in KP hospitals released
PESHAWAR (APP): The list of equipment prices for procurement in hospitals across the province, including Peshawar, has been released.
According to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department, an approved price list has been issued for the purchase of medical equipment, furniture, instruments, and other essential items for public hospitals and health institutions throughout the province.
This list includes details and prices of over 400 items and will remain in effect until June 30 of next month.
In this regard, all District Health Officers and Medical Superintendents of hospitals have been instructed to ensure, when issuing supply orders, that the availability of human resources, completion of infrastructure, availability of financial resources, electricity supply, and avoidance of unnecessary hoarding of equipment are taken into account as per the procurement conditions.
Similarly, performance guarantees have also been defined, under which suppliers must deposit 10% of the total order value as performance security. The Health Department has also established a delivery and payment system whereby, upon completion of the supply, immediate installation and inspection will be carried out.
Any complaints must be reported to the Procurement Cell. This will ensure timely payment; otherwise, action will be taken against the responsible officers.
According to the notification, prices for important medical equipment have been set, including 24-hour American-made blood pressure monitor of Rs. 1,149,900
Chinese-made anesthesia machine of Rs. 7,737,500, Korean-made digital X-ray plant: Rs. 21,500,000, Chinese-made oxygen concentrator Rs. 275,000 and Chinese-made baby incubator: Rs. 1,485,000.
