    Eidul Fitre celebrated with religious enthusiasm in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

    PESHAWAR, (APP): Like other parts of the country, Eidul Fitr was also celebrated with great religious enthusiasm in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday.

    Big Eid prayers congregations in mosques and Eidgahs were held in all districts of Khyber Pakthunkhwa including seven merged districts.

    The ulema and religious leaders threw light on the philosophy of Eidul Fitr. They prayed Allah Almighty to accept their fastings and worships besides sought for mercy and forgiveness.

    In Peshawar, the major Eid congregations were held at Eidgah Charsadda Road, Mohabat Khan mosque, Sonehri mosque, Spine Jumat and Zarghoni mosques. The faithful offered special prayers for progress and prosperity of Pakistan.

    Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi along with officials performed Eid prayer at Governor House Peshawar, where special prayers were made for the country’s security, lasting peace in the province, and national prosperity.

    A large number of people, including Chief Secretary, political and social personalities, local residents, and Governor House staff attended the prayer.

    After the Eid prayer, the Governor mingled with citizens and extended Eid greetings with the attendees with the festive spirit.

    In his message, Faisal Karim Kundi felicitated the entire nation and the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, particularly the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and merged districts.

    He termed Eid-ul-Fitr a blessed occasion that brings immense joy and carries the message of patience, sacrifice, and brotherhood.

    He expressed hope that the auspicious occasion would bring happiness, mercy, and blessings for all.

    The Governor emphasized that in the prevailing circumstances, the nation must demonstrate unity, tolerance, and responsibility.

    He said maintaining peace and law and order was a collective responsibility and urged citizens to continue cooperation with security forces.

    He also urged the people to remember the families of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country and to include the underprivileged and deserving segments of society in their Eid celebrations.

    Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Suhail Afridi, offered the Eid ul-Fitr prayer in his native district of Khyber district.

    On this occasion, special prayers were offered for peace and stability in the region.

    Special prayer offered for the country’s security and prosperity, national unity, solidarity of the Muslim Ummah, and for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs.

    After the Eid prayer, the Chief Minister greeted the worshippers, shook hands with them, and exchanged Eid greetings.

    Later, the people visited relatives’ houses and exchanged sweets besides distributed Eidi (cash amount) among children.

    Peshawar zoo has also attracted a substantial number of visitors along with families and children who expressed joy after watching wild animals.

    Great rush was witnessed in parks and recreational points besides many families left for Swat, Chitral, Mansehra and Abbottabad districts to enjoy Eid vacations in its famous hilly resorts including Nathiagali, Kalam, Naran and Kaghan.
