CHITRAL: The doctors performed their duties in the DHQ hospital here on Saturday where more than 300 patients were examined and treated in the out-patient department while the patients in the emergency department and those admitted in different wards are also being attended.
The doctors in the civil hospitals of Drosh and Booni and in 6 rural health centres and 21 basic health units of the district also remained indifferent to the strike of the doctors in Peshawar and other districts of the province.
District health officer Chitral, Dr. Haiderul Mulk told Chitral Times that although the doctors had gone on strike for a short while of half-an- hour on Friday last but it was called off instantly with the efforts of health department and district administration so that the patients coming from the distant parts of Chitral may not be troubled.
He said that the doctors community were fully aware to the hardships of the patients coming from different parts of Chitral during the month of Ramazanul Mubarak and they will not resort to any strike before the coming Eid.
