    District Nazim Chitral visits Didar gah of HH Prince Karim Aga Khan Garam Chashma

    CHITRAL: District nazim Chitral Maghfirat Shah visited the Garam Chasham village on Sunday and inspected the arrangements made in connection with the visit of the spiritual leader of Ismaili Muslim community, His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan which is scheduled for December 9.

     

    He was briefed by the local council president of the community, Fazal Hameed about the scale of preparations ranging from seating arrangements of the pilgrims to transportation and the security plan on the day of arrival of His Highness.

     

     

    He was told that a vast ground, didaar gaah (place of sighting of His Highness) had been leveled and prepared with a capacity of 60 thousand pilgrims by the Ismaili volunteers while arrangements were also made to fulfill their physical necessities.

     

     

    The nazim announced a grant of Rs.5 lakh for the volunteers who were still engaged in the venue to construct the deedar gaah continuously for the last one-and-half month while he assured them of all out support on the part of the district government to solve any issue related with the reception of the guest.

     

    Earlier, the district nazim also visited Booni, the headquarters of Mastuj sub-division where another didaar gaah has been established for 80 thousand pilgrims where also he announced a grant of Rs.5 lakh as contribution for making preparations.

     

     

    In Booni, he met Iqbal Walji, the national coordinator of the visit preparations of His Highness and discussed with him different matters related with the visit and assured him that the visit of Prince Karim Aga Khan was welcomed by Sunni Muslims as well which a good omen for maintaining communal harmony and peace in the area.
