Defense day celebrated with Enthusiasm in Morder, Upper Chitral

Upper Chitral: Civilized nations celebrate their fallen heroes to engrave their names on honor bright crest. It is their extraordinary feats and services, that owe huge gratitude, recognition, and remembrance.
The youth of Morder, Upper Chitral commemorated the defense day in Morder, today. This year’s defense day holds greater significance for the people of the area, as recently, another brave son of the soil named Ayaz Ali Gohar (Shaheed) embraced Shahadat while defending the frontiers of the motherland in Bajaur Agency. The event was organized in the premises of Shaheed Ayat Ali Gohar’s final resting place. It is worth noting that, since 1971, Ayaz (Shaheed) has been the sixth hero from Morder, who has sacrificed his life for the country.
The deputy commissioner Upper Chitral, Mr. Hafiz Muhammad Ali graced the occasion as Chief guest while Mr. Adnan Zainul Abidin presided over the ceremony. Mr. Shah Adnan, Assistant Commissioner Mastuj, Essa Muhammad, DSP HQ police Upper Chitral, the Shuhaada families and other notable of the area also participated in the event. Mr. Mustansir Uddin, Welcomed the participants.
A wreath laying ritual formally commenced the ceremony with the echo of national anthem passionately sung by all the participants. The chief guest and president of the event laid flowers on the tomb of the martyred. While talking on the occasion, the chief guest appreciated the youth for organizing the event and said that the day remembers the sacrifices of the martyrs. He was of the opinion that, it was due to their persistent sacrifices and hard work which have enabled the nation to sleep peacefully, since the, Jawans of the Pakistan Army and other forces are continuously on guard to protect the frontiers from foreign aggression. He enumerated the few projects; he had approved to encourage the Shuhaadas of the area and their families; and also noted down other demands put forwarded by the people of the area for possible compliance in future.
Mr. Adnan Zain Ul Abidin thanked the chief guest and his entourage and said that their presence in the ceremony for the encouragement of Shuhaadas of Morder would long be remembered. In addition to that, he applauded the services of the heroes of the 1965 and all the martyrs, who laid down their lives in the line of duty. Moreover, he congratulated the youth of Morder for arranging such a momentous event. He also appreciated the management of Agha Khan School Morder for their presence and active participation in making the event successful. Besides, he expressed his pleasure on the participation of people from different walk of life ranging from Ulema, scholars, elders of the area, ladies, and Children etc.
Mr. Ghulam Mustafa, serving JCO, and Ali Sher Khan, retired SM Chitral Scout representing in service and retired army personnel highlighted the role of forces and appreciated the sacrifices of Shuhaadas. They suggested the youth to join the allied forces for the defense of the homeland and better livelihood prospects.
Mr. Noor Sabah, representing the Shuhaadas Families, highlighted the significance of the defense day and felt proud for being the scion of a person who among others sacrificed their lives for the protection of this motherland.
Maulana Asif Haidari, spoke about the importance of Jihad in Islam and honored the services of Pak Army and other allied forces for strengthening Pakistan as a nation. Mr. Ebad Ur Rehman, ITREB scholar while talking on the occasion reiterated the role of the government agencies, district administration, local police for the eradication of social ills from the society with particular focus on drug users and dealers in the society.
The ceremony was concluded with the recitation of Surah e Fathia for the upliftment of the Shuhaadas soul and with a strong determination to fight every ill, which jeopardize the sovereignty, prosperity, and prestige of the beloved Pakistan.
