HYDERABAD: Sindh Minister for Livestock and fisheries Abdul Bari Pittafi who is also focal person for Thatta and Sujawal districts to look after and review the situation of cyclone with monster ocean storm in the area, visited Sujawal district including villages Kodario, Jan Muhammad Jat, Shah Bunder, Jiand Zangejo, Kharo Chhan, Joohar Jamali, Chhachh Jehan Khan and other villages. He took stock of situation and also got information from villagers.
Talking with media he said the danger of sea storm has averted but its effects on Sujawal and Thatta districts might be felt. He sad on likely disaster of floods people of the area would be provided help. He said district administrations of Thatta and Sujawal have framed a contingencies plans under which people affected by sea storm would be rescued from coastal belt immediately and brought to relief camps where they would be provided food, medicines, drinking water and also fodder and water for their animals. They would only be sent to their homes after situation turning normal.
Minister said under emergency situation help would be sought from Pak Army, Navy, Rangers and NGOs.
Provincial minister Bari Pitaffi said people would not be left alone at time of turbulence and trial. On this occasion MNA Syed Ayaz Ali Shah Shirazi, MPA Muhammad Ali Malkani, Syed Shah Hussain Shirazi, DG Fisheries Mir Allahdad Talpur, deputy commissioner Muhammad Ismail Memon, SSP Syed Imdad Ali Shah, DHO Dr. Shahnaz Khuaja, Director livestock, director fisheries and other officers were also present.
