    Condolence Message

I am deeply grieved on the sad demise of Charwelu Saheb, Abdul Hakim of Charwelan Deh Booni, Chitral. I pray that his soul may rest in eternal peace.

The deceased was my first maternal brother apart from other close family relations and friendly ties. We have spent a lot of quality time together. I was aware of his great intentions about the welfare of the people of Chitral. After his retirement form Chitral Scouts, he was not only involved in his family affairs but took part in other social activities as well. He loved to stay with me in Chitral, and we used to enjoy long conversations on different topics. He took active part in a political organisation named ‘Balaee League’ for the purpose of development of Upper Chitral. He was also the leader of Chitral Muslim League.

He was known and famous not only in the eyes of the people of Upper Chitral but also in Lower Chitral as well. He was very fond of Polo and took keen interest in the development of Polo. He kept a good horse during his life. His gave good quality education to his Children and was always proud of their great achievements. At a young age his son became the Lieutenant Colonel. In short, he was an inspiring person and will not be forgotten for very long time.

Definitely we have lost a very prominent and faithful brother and a charismatic leader.  May his soul rest in eternal peace.

    From,

    Sahib Nadir Khan
    Advocate,
    Pasum Chitral.
