CHITRAL: Commissioner Malakand Division, Syed Mazharul Islam Shah inaugurated the complaint redressal cell (CRC) set up in the office of deputy commissioner Chitral here on Saturday which is envisaged to get any complaint registered redressed registered by a person against any government department.
Briefing about the cell, the Chitral DC Irshad Sodhar said that the scanned copy of the plaint is readily sent to the concerned officer through internet at the moment it is lodged by the complainant who is kept abreast of the action in different stages of action on it.
He said that the CRC will hotly pursue the concerned office for action on the file of complaint and return it within possible time which is fixed for two days and the complainant is informed on the telephone number as entered by him in the plaint.
Mr. Sodhar said that the DC office will make assessment of the redressal of complaints on weekly basis and the delayed cases will be taken up with the officer concerned making him accountable to explain the cogent reason.
The commissioner appreciated the initiative taken by Chitral DC and said that it will lead to transform the government servants into public servants in practical terms and from this point, the people get the ideal services from the government departments.
He said that the setting up of CRC was a major confidence building measure by the district administration and it was the priority of the present government to do away with red tapism in the government departments which created problems for the public shattering the confidence of people on the government offices.
Later on, a mock practice of lodging complaint in the CRC was carried by the commissioner who approached the counter with the complaint of insanitary situation persisting in his home street and saw how the application was processed in different stages and the complaint leveled out.
The regional police officer Akhtar Hayat Gandapur, district nazim Maghfirat Shah, AC Chitral Abdul Akram Khan and additional AC Sajid Nawaz were also in attendance.
